Breakout Poet: Chen Chen
UNLV's Rogers Literature & Law (RLL) 101

Chen Chen

Chen Chen says Believer poetry editor Jericho Brown, “is a poet of Whitman's multitudes and of Langston Hughes' blues." But you don’t have to take Jericho’s word for it: Chen Chen’s CV is full of superlatives including appearances in The Best American Poetry and The Best American Nonrequired Reading. Catch this ascendant poet when he visits UNLV as part of its Emerging Writers series. Also featuring novelist Lisa Ko, Emerging Writers is expertly curated by the writers of UNLV’s Creative Writing Program International MFA, this community’s early warning system for daring and compelling new talent.
