Black Mountain Institute is proud to showcase three of UNLV’s extraordinary poets who are celebrating the release of new collections.

Professor and English Department Chair Donald Revell is the celebrated author of thirteen collections of poetry and has twice received the PEN Center USA Award in poetry. His latest book, Drought-Adapted Vine, is out now from Alice James Books. BMI PhD Fellow Olivia Clare has been awarded fellowships from Colgate University and the Poetry Foundation, as well as an O. Henry Award and a Rona Jaffe Foundation Writer’s Award. She has a story collection and novel forthcoming from Grove Atlantic, and will be reading from her debut poetry collection, The 26-Hour Day (New Issues Poetry & Prose). Andrew S. Nicholson was a BMI-Schaeffer Fellow, earning his PhD in 2011, and is now an assistant professor-in-residence at UNLV. His debut collection, A Lamp Brighter Than Foxfire, is forthcoming from the Mountain West Poetry Series.
